- Climate controlled - Is the facility climate controlled and is the air recirculated or is the air refreshed from the outside?
- Grass – Natural - Does the property have natural grass? (This is much more difficult to maintain at a pet resort but is kinder to dogs' feet.)
- Grass – Synthetic - Does the property have synthetic grass?
- Outdoor play yard - Does the facility have outdoor play yard(s) and, if so, what is their condition and how much room do they have?
- Inground pool - Does the facility offer an inground pool and, if so, is it of an acceptable depth that should not pose a danger to medium to large-sized dogs?
- Water feature - Does the facility have a splash pad or other permanent water feature (not simply staff spraying dogs with hoses)?
Amenities
- Amenities – Food included - Is food included as part of the boarding package and, if so, what kind of food is it?
